Windows 10: Why is my audio bluetooth device not being recognised as a sound output - Windows 11

Whenever I connect any audio device via bluetooth, it appears in 'Other Devices' rather than 'audio' which means that no audio output is sent to them.I have tried this with 2 different headsets, both have the same problem. These headsets connect without issue to another Windows 11 device I have. I have removed and reconnected the devices; stopped and restarted my bluetooth support service; completely wiped my machine and used a fresh install of Windows 11. I recently purchased some bluetooth headphones (GLITOBT18). I managed to connect them to my laptop running windows 10.




However, i cant find the device in the playback settings and i therefore cant play audio through the headphones.





I think this may have something to do with the fact that windows is recognising it as a bluetooth headset rather than a speaker? Any help would be massively appreciated!
