Windows 10: Why is my Display Messing up after Reinstalling Windows 11

Context: Computer wasn't updating at all and after exhausting all possible solutions I felt that I had not choice but to reinstall windows. I also had to re-seat the GPU because my computer wasn't recognizing it but the issue related to updating was fixed.The problem: Every time I lock my computer windows-key + L the screen will go black within a minute. My computer is set to turn off screens after an hour has passed, and to go to sleep after 2 hours have passed. Screen saver is not turned on. The worst is when my game "crashes", I put crash in quotations because I don't think it's actually

• Restart the system

After the computer restarts, install the driver in compatibility mode.

• Select the setup file

Windows 11 reinstall

Hi there I'm using a dell inspiron 3501.

I always experience BSODs in my windows 11 PC. So now I'm trying to reinstall windows 11. I have backed up all the important files as well...

But at the moment I am confused whether should I reset my PC by removing all the files or clean install or a fresh start. Can you give me any suggestion and how the method actually works and the steps that I should follow to reinstall windows 11?

I would suggest you follow the steps below:

Method 1: Run the hardware and devices

Please follow the steps below:

• 
  Type “Troubleshooting” on the Windows Search bar and hit enter.
  
• 
  On the left side of the Troubleshooting window, click on “View all”
  
• 
  Click on Hardware and Devices. Please provide a password if asked for it and click ok.
  

Method 2: Uninstall and reinstall display adapter.

Follow the steps to update the display adapter:

• 
  Press Windows key + R key. Type "devmgmt.msc" and click Enter.
  
• 
  Expand Display Adapter.
  
• 
  Double-click on the Display Adapter.
  
• 
  In Properties, go to Drivers Tab and click on Uninstall.
  
• 
  Reinstall the Display adapter from the Manufacturer's Website and see if it helps.
  

Restart the computer and check.
