Windows 10: Why is my login screen so buggy?

I'm very confused why I experience so many bugs during my login screen at seemingly random intervals. Either:


-The prompt to enter my pin never appears

-On rare occasions, after putting in my pin it brings me to a small window asking me to "finish setting up my PC"

-I put in my pin, it thinks for a while, then stutters and brings me back to put my pin in again but actually works the second time

-Or nothing goes wrong at all; a majority of the time, the login is a bit slow, but ultimately works perfectly fine


The first two are solved by just rebooting my PC, and the third is solved by just waiting and entering my pin again, but I'm very confused as to why these issues exist in the first place. They've happened occasionally for as long as I can remember, and in that time I've run dozens of routine virus checks using malwarebytes that have turned up nothing. For the most part, I've kept my PC up-to-date as well; I just installed an update two days ago, experienced no issues the following day, then had the "set up your PC" bug occur this morning. I'm not too worried because everything seems to work perfectly fine after the occasional inconvenience, but if anyone has any idea as to why any of this happens I would be very eager to know. Any insight would be much appreciated :

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to select the appropriate language in login screen at the bottom right corner and check if it helps.

Steps 2: Use On-screen keyboard in the login screen to login and check if it helps.

Thanks for the quick reply. While your suggestion does change the sign in process, it doesn't address the differing screenshot question. Following the steps doesn't make the login screenshot the same as the Lock screenshot. As I mentioned, I can't even find the screenshots being used for both screens.

Still looking a solution to this. Open to any other suggestions you might have to the problem. Thanks!

You can use your own image of any background and just go to settings/personalize/lock screen and click on browse as in the image below. It should make whatever picture you use as the Lock Screen
