    Why is my mouse messing up and making my programs go back?


    I'm having a problem with my mouse and system in general. It began as a problem with my mouse after I installed a windows 10 update. When I would left click and it would go back a page. Not just in my chrome browser, but also in my windows explorer, my discord, and even the settings program. I ran multiple scans and removed several malicious programs that were found. Yet the problem still persists. Now my mouse just goes dead for unknown reasons and pages will continue to randomly go back to the previous page. Does anyone know what I can do?

    Hi Richard,

    Since the above suggestions didn't work on your issue, we suggest that you follow the steps below for us to further locate the device driver that has been causing conflict on your system.

    • Go to Settings.
    • Click Devices.
    • Scroll down, then select Device manager.
    • Look for the mouse icon, then click it.
    • Right-click on the available drivers.
    • Select Uninstall.
    • Re-connect your Microsoft mouse, so that the system will reinstall the correct driver.

    MICROSOFT MOUSE PROGRAM

    I TRIED BOTH SUGGESTIONS WITH NO RESOLUTION.

    I CAN NOT IDENTIFY THE MICROSOFT MOUSE PROGRAM ON MY LIST OF PROGRAMS SO THAT

    I CAN UNINSTALL IT AND THE ERROR MESSAGE I GET WHICH CITES THE CONFLICT ONLY GIVES ME

    THE OPTION TO UNINSTALL THE SYNAPTICS PROGRAM

    Why did the startup window get cleared?

    I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.
