Windows 10: Why is the 'Never' option not presented?

I would like to set the sign in on wakeup option to 'Never', but it's not being presented. I'm only being presented with the options of 'Always', '5 minutes', '10 minutes', '15 minutes'.Beneath 'If you've been away, when should Windows require you to sign in again?', there is the statement, 'Your PC's power settings are preventing some options from being shown.'It makes no sense to be able to stop sign-in for login only to have to be faced with it every time the screen goes blank. For that matter, it makes no sense to be forced to sign in to access your own property as a default and have to go

Hi Jennifer,

As per your description it seems like you couldn't find the power option. I suggest you to try the below and see if it helps.

• In search type troubleshooting and hit enter.
• On the left pane click on View All.
• Now from the list of troubleshoot select Power and follow the onscreen instructions to run.

Please be informed that, the steps given in the method 2 is just to reset the power plan settings. It won't reset the whole system. So, I suggest you to try the steps and check if it helps.

Unable to use In-place upgrade for Windows 10 repair

Thank you Paul Black for your response to my query. I did just what you suggested in your response - mounted the ISO and selected and clicked on Setup. The first few steps went smoothly (I chose not to include updates at this time and waited to be presented with the list of options to save programs and files, etc. That is when I was presented with only one option - Nothing would be saved. Strange but nevertheless true. N.

 

Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.

Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
3. Select add someone else on this PC.
4. Enter a user name and hit next.
5. Click on Finish.
6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.
