Windows 10: Why is the window name on the title bar blacked out?

    Window Title Bar Text is blacked out

    We suggest that you perform a clean boot. This helps eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install a program or an update or when you run a program in Windows 10.

    Window Title Bar Text is blacked out

    I installed Classic Shell to get a Windows 7 style start menu. When I realised that this might have created the problem I uninstalled it. It might have messed up some configuration I don't know how to change.

    Do you have any suggestions?

    I will also include the information about me using Classic Shell in the post.

    Hi @Draagos , welcome to tenforums! *Smile

    My first guess, looking at your post and screenshot, that it could possibly be an after effect of running that High Contrast Theme, if you've done so.

    Restarting Explorer should fix it...

    Doesn't that screenshot show that the Windows theme is selected?

    Do you have a "System Restore Point" or backup image (from before the issue appeared) available?
