    Why is Update KB4497165 pending on my system?


    My Windows update lists this as 2020-01 Update for Windows 10 Version 1903 for x64-based Systems KB4497165

    It says it is pending download since 10:33am today.

    Why should I allow it to download an update from JANUARY 2020??

    Why is Microsoft pushing such an old update out?

    How do I stop this from downloading but continue to get other updates that are more current?

    Should I allow this OLD dated update that just arrived despite almost daily windows update to run on my computer?

    If not, how do I stop it?

    Optional Update KB4497165

    you probably should just skip or hide the KB4497165 update with wushowhide.diagcab on the HP laptop, tjg79

    "Ice Lake" is not listed in MS support article 4497165 so you most likely do not need to install that update

    Thanks, I have just tried this but can't download Lumia system updater either. It suits in the download list as pending too.

    Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
