Why is Windows asking me to log in to send my parents requests for more screen time? I'm...

Every time I log in to my PC, a window pups up asking me to log in to be able to ask my parents for more screen time my parents deleted the Microsoft Family because it was too much trouble and absolutely USELESS so it doesn't really make sense for it to be asking me that. It doesn't go away when I click the "X" and I don't want to log in to potentially make it block me from doing certain things. What can I do? I'm really annoyed.

    :)

  2. Screen Time - No more option for child to request more time from parents

    Hey everyone,

    • The button to send a request for more screen time is available in the Windows 10 November update. I see that there was some confusion as some people had the button and others did not. Learn
      more about the November update
      .
    • If the requests are not going through, the most common cause is that your child needs to verify their account on the device. Have them sign in to their device, and then go to Settings > Accounts, and follow the prompts to verify their account.
    • Insiders running build 14328 or later will see a new button, "My parent is here", that will let the parent extend screen time with an admin password. This feature will eventually be made available to everyone as part of the upcoming Windows 10 anniversary
      update.
    Hope this helps,

    Daniel

Screen Time - No more option for child to request more time from parents

Since upgrading to Windows 10, my child on longer is given the option to ask for more time when their Screen Time is up for the day. On Windows 8.1 when the time expired they were given 2 options 1) log off or 2) request more time, which in turn would give
them options to 1) email parent or 2) if parent is present, select parent account and enter password.

Now on Windows 10, they get a message there time has expired, followed by the text, "Try logging in on 11/04/1015 (being the date of the next day) at 12:00am or ask your parent for more time." and the option is a button with text reading "log off or turn
    off computer."

I have looked everywhere on Family Safety, but no luck finding any mention of how to allow my child to ask a parent for more time.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Unable to log in to child account with screen time

I am having issues with setting my daughter's screen time. No matter what I select for the screen time (even completely disabling it) her account shows this error she tries to log in to her laptop:

"This device is locked because of your family settings for screen time. You can use it again at 7:00 AM on 5/29/2018, or ask an adult for more time today."

The buttons that show up are

    • "Switch users or turn off PC" which seems to work.
    • "My parent is here" which asks for admin permissions before showing "An error has occurred"
    • "Send a request" which shows the error "Something went wrong"
