Windows 10: why is windows opening links in edge with chrome as my default

i've looked at other questions where the answer is to repair or reset edge which i have tried or switch to edge. i do not want to switch to edge i want to keep chrome.instead of acting like it is an error with edge and telling us to do things that will not work why not tell me how to fix it without using a third party software to deflect the edge initiation to a chrome executable? i do not like having to use 3rd party software to deflect an attempt to try to get me to switch browsers to avoid the hassle. i would rather you not attempt to trick me in the first placeso how can i make windows s

Windows 10 Not Opening Links in Chrome?

I understand that some of the link are not opening through Google Chrome.

Before proceeding, we need to know which version of Google Chrome is installed on Windows 10.

Note: As you don’t have any issues on EDGE browser, I suggest you to set the EDGE as default browser.

I suggest you to delete the browsing history/delete cookies from the Google Chrome browser. If the issue still persists, uninstall and reinstall the Google Chrome from the Google Chrome website and check if it helps.

Can't open Outlook links in Edge

• Dose this problem occur on a particular website or all the links you try to open from Outlook?
• What troubleshooting steps have you done?

In the meantime, we suggest that you reset Microsoft Edge. Kindly refer to the steps below:

• Open Microsoft Edge.
• Click on More options […].
• Click on Settings.
• Click on ‘Choose what to clear’.
• Select all of them and click on Clear all.

Site links not working in Chrome or Edge

Have you tried resetting your browser? If not, we suggest you to do so. To reset Edge, follow these steps:
