Regarding the Microsoft Remote Desktop App from the Microsoft store.

In order to be able to get my keyboard working correctly on the server I'm connecting to via the Microsoft Remote Desktop app I must set the language setting on the Client (running Microsoft Remote Dektop) to English. Why is that?

I use the client (Windows 10 Pro) for various tasks so I must switch languages every time I want to make a connection to the server (MS Server 2012 r2). The Keyboard layout (US INTL) is exactly the same I had to set it up twice, once for my language (NLD) and once for English (ENG).

Did I mis a setting in the Microsoft Remote Desktop app, or must I make another configuration adjustment in order to avoid the tedious switching of languages.

    :)

    Language Bar in Remote Desktop

With default Remote Desktop settings, I have no issues in selecting different language on remote client and host. In screenshot, my remote host is using its default Swedish keyaboard, at the same time allowing me to change it to any other installed language, and my remote client is using its default Finnish keyboard:

Both host and client allow me to set keyboard indepently to each and every application.

    Hi,

We will surely assist you with the issue you are facing with Windows 10.

I suggest you to refer the below steps and see if this helps.

    • Enable remote desktop in settings
