Windows 10: Why room finder option in Microsoft Outlook Meeting vanishes when I installed Navisworks...

Hello Guys,This is Antony working as a IT technician in a private company. Recently some users are coming with one common issue which is in Windows 10 Enterprise "Room Finder" option misses on their PC. I spent some time on one PC and foud that issue occurs due to conflict between "Navisworks" software and Microsoft Outlook 365. Because I installed softwares one by one and did a restart to them then I opened everytime Outlook application "Room Finder" and confirmed it is okay. But, only after installing "Navisworks" software "Room Finder" in meeting option vanishes. I formatted the device four

Breakout rooms available today in Microsoft Teams

Creating meaningful connection can be difficult in larger group settings. Breakout rooms allow organizers to divide the meeting into sub-groups to facilitate discussions and brainstorming sessions.

We are excited to announce that breakout rooms will be available today in Microsoft Teams (available in GCC this week).

The meeting organizer can create up to 50 breakout rooms and choose to automatically or manually assign participants into rooms. The organizer can start a breakout room in a Teams meeting or a Teams channel meeting, allowing greater flexibility on how you want to meet.

Using the breakout room settings, the meeting organizer can choose to allow participants to come back to the main meeting at any time, then return to the assigned breakout room. This way participants can ask a clarifying question without disturbing the breakout room discussions.

Also, organizers can use the setting to re-create breakout rooms in the same meeting. This allows them to assign participants into new room setups.

The meeting organizer can create, rename, and delete rooms as needed.

Once the breakout rooms are open, meeting organizers can join any of the breakout sessions. And should the need arise, you can quickly switch attendees in between breakout rooms.

Organizers can send announcements to the breakout rooms, and recall all participants back to the main meeting at any time.

Since breakout rooms are Teams meetings, all the innovation that makes Teams meetings inclusive, interactive, and intelligent are available within. Attendees can discuss a topic in their breakout room while in a virtual coffee shop in Together mode. Or students can bring up the Microsoft Whiteboard and draw out their ideas. This is also true of our security features that help make your Teams meetings a safe and secure place to meet.

Any files from the breakout rooms can be shared in the main meeting once everyone is back together and will be available afterwards in the meeting chat.

FAQ

Who can start a breakout room?

Only the meeting organizer can start breakout rooms.

How can I use breakout rooms?

The meeting organizer can start a breakout room on the desktop client only.

Participants can join a breakout room from desktop, web or mobile. Microsoft Teams Rooms do not have breakout room capabilities yet.

Participants logged in from multiple devices will have all end points join the same breakout room.

How do I make sure I can start using breakout rooms?

Make sure that the new meeting experience is enabled (Teams -> Settings -> General -> Check “Turn on new meeting experience”)

Check and make sure you have the latest Teams updates (Update Microsoft Teams - Office Support)

IT admins can check how often their tenants get updates, which may impact when their users receive new features like breakout rooms (Set up the Standard or Targeted release options - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Docs)

I’m an educator, what will my students be able to do?

Since breakout rooms are Teams meetings, the same security policies and options apply.

Educators will have the option to push students into the breakout rooms and pull them back to the main meeting, without any additional action needed by the student.

Students can be assigned to breakout rooms, join breakout rooms, use the whiteboard or screen share if allowed to in normal school meetings, re-join the main meeting, and see their breakout room chat.

Students cannot add participants, will not see suggestions of students who should join, cannot get meeting details or dial out, will not see the files or chats from other breakout rooms, and cannot rejoin the original meeting themselves.

Room booking just became easier in Outlook on the web

How often have you tried to find rooms that are available for your meeting's time, your recurring series, have the capacity and resources you need, and are close to you? Probably enough to acknowledge it can be a bit time consuming, especially if you are creating a recurring event or trying to book multiple rooms in different cities.

To help you with this, we are releasing features that make it easier to find the room with the characteristics you need. We also have new features to help you manage your meetings!

Easily browse rooms

For those times when you need to find rooms in multiple cities, you can now search for rooms beyond the ones we show you. Just click on the location bar, and then go to “Browse more rooms”, this opens a right-side panel where you can search for a room by building and city.

Find rooms with specific characteristics

There are meetings that need specific resources like audio and video capabilities, a specific capacity, or a projector. Now to help you find what you need, you can filter for rooms based on capacity, features, and floor.

Book multiple rooms

Not everyone in your meeting works in the same building or even the same city. For those meetings when your team is spread across the world, Outlook lets you book multiple rooms so you can make sure everyone has a good spot for that important call. To do this, go to “Browse more rooms” and search by city, then add the rooms you need.

Invite optional attendees

You can now add optional attendees faster, directly from the meeting form. Just click on “Optional” and a new “Invite optional attendees” box will open, no need to go to the Scheduling Assistant.

Some of these capabilities need to be set up by the organization's administrator. If you want to learn how to set up the options shown in the browse rooms panel, you can learn how here.

Online meetings get more options

You likely create or attend several online meetings during your workday, so we want to make your online meeting experience as streamlined as possible – This means options on how to create your meetings, easily join an online meeting, and quickly check how many people are attending the meeting.

Create an online meeting with Teams or Skype for Business
We’ve updated our backend to more closely reflect your organization’s online meeting policies. Depending on what services you are enabled for, you will see 1 of 3 options: i) A drop down menu to “Add online meeting” where you can select between a Teams or Skype for Business meeting, ii) a toggle to create a Skype meeting or iii) a toggle to create a Teams meeting.

Joining an online meeting from the calendar should be easy. And now it is, just go to the meeting event and you can join in one click right from the event peek.

See attendees’ responses to a meeting

We’ve added a quick summary in the event peek and if you go into the full meeting invite you’ll see attendees grouped by their response. If you use the event peek, you can see attendees’ responses if the meeting has less than 3 people or a summary of responses if there are more.

Invite only who you want in group calendars

Sometimes, you want to create an event in a group calendar but do not need to invite everyone in the group. With this update you will be able to:

Create events without inviting anyone, like a reminder or a milestone for the group

Create “brownbag style” events where you can have some required attendees and other people in the group can add themselves to the event if they want to attend too

Invite the group and anyone else.

Most of the features are already available to Office and Microsoft 365 users and the remaining ones will be rolling out in the next couple of weeks. For some features to show up, the organization's administrator has to set up the room features. To learn how to do this, please read this.
