  1. Wi-fi connected but internet is off

hello guys i spent full day to troubleshoot this issue without success *Sad i need help *092

    my spec:
    win 10 x64 OS Build 17134.254
usb 3.0 wifi adapter based on realtek 8812BU chipset connected to desktop pc with wire extension
    mobo p8z77-vlx

    the problem:

the device worked very well for about 15 days.now, at random time, even the wifi is ON(the try icon of wifi is full with good signal), i have not Internet, if i try open some web page i receive error like "no internet connection and bla bla ......."

when this issue succed, if i try a speed test from my smartphone the internet connetion is good without problem, so i assume the problem is from PC - to modem.

if i try ping the gateway "ping 192.168.0.1 -t" i see a lot of spike lag and drop connection like this.

Wi-fi connected but internet is off drop_ping.png

    what i have tryed:

    - updated wifi adapter driver
    - turn off from device manager "allow this computer turn off the device"
    - setting the wifi at maximum performance from power plane setting
    - uninstall and reinstall the wifi adapter from device manager
    - used different usb3.0 and usb2.0 ports
    - changed 2.4 wifi channel, when i had the issue the channel was free of inteference
    - i also tryed some advanced setting from cmd

Code: netsh winsock reset netsh int ip reset ipconfig /release ipconfig /renew ipconfig /flushdns nbtstat -R nbtstat -RR netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt netsh winsock reset netsh int tcp set heuristics disabled netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled netsh int tcp set global rss=enabled[/quote] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

in the end i dont undestand if the problem is the usb wifi adapter an i need a replacement and the droput is very frustatingfor example in meantime i writing this post the connection wifi+internet is perfectly fine working but i dont know for how many time .... lolI hope any suggestion because i'm out of idea. thanks

    :)

    No wi-fi connection

I found the restore points and went back to last month, when the Wi-Fi was still working. I reconnected the router. The control panel says the connection is secure and connected when I tried to get online via wireless rather than DSL, but the icon on the bottom is still the DSL one. Do I have to disconnect the DSL cable in order to use the Wi-Fi or does it matter? The control panel lists both internet connections.

Windows 10 stop automatically connecting to random new wi-fi networks

    Hi,

I have searched a lot, but all the tutorials I found only explained how to not connect automatically to a known wi-fi network or how to disable wi-fi sense... but this is not what I am looking for...

    PROBLEM:

    • When my laptop (Windows 10 Pro X64) is not connected to a network and the wireless adapter is on, it will automatically connect to any random new unsecured wi-fi network... The only way I have now to avoid this is to disable my wi-fi adapter.

UNUSEFUL TUTORIALS I FOUND ON THE INTERNET:

    • How to manually uncheck the option for a particular wi-fi network not to connect automatically in Network Properties. This is not what I am looking for. This would suggest that everytime I power my computer. I would have to manually go through all the available wi-fi networks and unclick them all...
    • How to disable Wi-Fi Sense. This is not useful, because I don't even have a Wi-Fi sense option in my computer where the tutorials say it should be.

    EXPECTED BEHAVIOR:

    • I am looking for an option to tell my computer to stop connecting randomly to unknown wi-fi networks like an hyperactive, reckless idiot.

    PERSONAL COMMENT:

    • Honestly, why would any respectable company think that it could be somewhat wise or secure to do this... Anyone's computer could just randomly connect to any hacker's wi-fi network without the user even knowing it...

Any solutions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
