Wi-fi / lan problem after clean win 10 installation

    Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a guide or a tutorial, but a very exhaustive one, which covers the issue about wi-fi after a clean installation of windows 10. I hope someone can tell me where to search in this forum, or better answer this thread.
The following are the steps of my problem:

-I've received a pcspecialist laptop -dunno if you know them; they assembly pcs in the UK- running a sort of windows 10 limited version. AT THIS STAGE I WAS ABLE TO CONNECT TO MY HOME WI-FI AND NAVIGATE THE INTERNET

-I bought an online license of windows 10 Home from a trusted website -Digitallicense.com-
-I made a bootable USB via MediaCreator
-I successfully installed my Windows 10 Home using product-key that I bought with the license
-since then I couldn't reach any internet connection, and I'll explain everything about this now:

Seems that it's not even in its range of possibility to contemplate a WI-FI ! It only says that the Ethernet cable is missing -obviously- and I see it as the only way it allows me to connect to the internet. Like, the wi fi it is not even written in the menu bar, as I explain at point d).

    a) I looked into every possible way that windows allows to check about internet connectivity, tried to set up large-bandwidth connection using my wi-fi provider name also, as throwing dices into the cosmos
    b) Tried to deactivate all the Firewalls -private and public if I remember correct-
    c) I got the driver for the Realtek FE from my laptop constructors, and successfully installed it, via Device Manager
    d) I re-installed Windows 10 home again
    e) from the tutorials online everybody seems to have that "status" menu bar and the "wi-fi" menu bar as well, inside the internet/connectivity settings ( I mean the menu-bar on the right with PVN and all the others ). I DON'T HAVE ANY "WI-FI" and "STATUS" voice on that damn menu!
    f) from the tutorials online seems that when you have to update your LAN drivers you have that Realtek FE family something, AND another one, called Qualcomm Atheros . I DON'T HAVE THIS LAST ONE. (which I suspect is something not compulsory)
    g) and, not to miss anything, I deactivate the Bluetooth. Updated the driver, again, successfully, but it says it' s ok but still something went wrong so Bluetooth is deactivated for now
    h) Ah, and of course, restarted my pc more than once! And also hit the "hardware updated" icon into the device manager...

Don't know really what to do now. I suspect is a driver issue, but not only, cause as I already updated the Lan driver, smells something really missing in the system...I mean, why the wi-fi is not even spoken about??

Thank you very much for your support!

    :)

  2. Trouble Changing Wi-Fi Password

I've been following the following steps to change my Wi-Fi password for some time:

    1. Launch Control Panel.
    2. Click "Network and Internet."
    3. Click "Network and Sharing Center."
    4. Click "Wi-Fi...."
    5. Click "Wireless Properties."
    6. Click the Security tab.
    7. Check "Show characters."
    8. Enter the password in "Network security key."
Those steps have been working just fine, but today I discovered a new wrinkle. If I change the password inside the router first, "Wi-Fi..." doesn't appear in step 4. This isn't much of a problem at home, because I can just change the password in Control Panel before I change it inside the router, but it would be a problem at a public hotspot, or something of that nature. I also tested Brink's instructions in "How to Connect To a Wireless Network in Windows 10," but they don't work for me either. How can I fix this?
