Windows 10: WIA Scan error?

I run 2 x multi-function printers HP Pagewide Pro MFP 477dw through Windows 11. The scanner function on both devices isn't working and shows a WIA issue message. I've tried several uninstalls and re-installs, updated all drivers, run diagnostic software both Mincrosoft and HP Print/Scan Doctor all to no avail. What else can I try?

WIA Scan error

I have an HP LaserJet Pro MFPM127fw all in one device (print, scan, copy, fax) that cannot copy or scan after a the last Windows 10 update. The HP Print scan doctor sends an error message that says "WIA Scan Error. Scanning cancelled by the user." The
services mode of the Windows 10 system shows that the WIA service is automatic and running and the latest HP drivers are installed so I'm not sure what the problem is.

• yes many times
• We tried windows scan and another scan application both with the same result
• Yes, we run the HP doctor diagnosis with the same result always problem with the WIA

Tried all the steps, still WIA scan doesn't work properly, succeeds sometimes, sometimes not , needs to restart WIA service every time.

every time when scanner is added from printer and scanners, WIA service needs to be restarted otherwise scan options will not be available.
