Windows 10: WiFi Adapter disabled or default gateway not available constantly.

This problem started when I was running Windows 8.1. I have just upgraded to Windows 10 a couple of days ago but the problem still persists.


I have an Alienware Alpha 100

Processor - Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-4130T CPU @2.90GHz 2.90 GHz

Installed RAM - 8.00 GB

System type - 64-bit opertating system. x64-based processor

Edition - Windows 10 Pro

Version - 1809

OS build - 17763.316


Wireless Adapter Model - Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160


The only antivirus on the PC currently is Windows Defender that comes with Windows itself.


First off, I do not have an Ethernet cable that I can use to connect my PC directly to the router and even if I did I would not be able to do so because it would have to be run down a short hallway and to the main room where my one year old son would be constantly trying to mess with the cable so that is out of the question. I also take this PC to my friend's house (where this same problem occurs) and I have to use WiFi there as well so I really have to fix the WiFi issue here.


Usually I get a yellow caution symbol telling me I am connected to the WiFi but no internet connection. When running troubleshooter it will simple restart the adapter and then most of the time It is fixed. This fix lasts anywhere from a few minutes to several hours. Sometimes It will show no WiFi connections available at all and the troubleshooter will attempt to restart the device but it enters a state where neither the troubleshooter nor I are able to disable the WiFi adapter and the troubleshooter will get stuck trying to restart the device.


I have tried so many different fixes to this that I have lost track of everything I have done and I have ordered a new adapter that should arrive in the mail tomorrow but I am afraid that even replacing the part won't be the solution.


I am willing to start from scratch to figure out what my problem is and if I even need to replace the part.

WIFI ISSUE of "Default gateway is not available"

Hi

I recently updated my laptop to windows 10 and it is unable to connect to wifi . On trouble-shooting

showing error as "Default gateway is not available" . Please suggest me how to overcome this problem?????

I had this exact same issue with a Dell laptop which has an Intel wireless adapter.

Constantly getting default gateway is not available


This issue has been occurring for the last couple of days, my internet (wire connection) just stops working, i troubleshoot the problem and after ~30 seconds it said it fixed the :
default gateway is not available
and sometimes i get :
The connection between your access point, routers, or cable modem and the internet is broken
this 2nd error don't get fixed when it appears, it have a yellow triangle, but the internet works.
I tried :

• reinstalling the driver (latest version of the intel network drivier for the MSI Z270 sli)
• those ipconfig steps (flushdns, release, etc..)
• removed VmWare adapters (i use virtual machine sometimes)
• installed "Complete Internet repair" ticked all the boxes and apply.
  
  

And the issue is still occurring, knowing that all of my other devices (phones, ps4, switch, other computers) all work fine.
any idea how i can identify the issue please ?
The only clue that i have is that this have started occurring after i tried using DNS4ME to watch Netflix outside the U.S, but i made sure to reverse all the steps they asked to do here

I am using 2 Routers,

• ZTE provided by my ISP (ZXHN H367N)
• Asus RT-N12+

The computer with the problem is connected to the ZTE with a cable, ZTE is also having its own Wifi so my other devices can connect to it.
The Asus router is connected to the ZTE via cable into to the available 4 ports that you use to connect any other device (i have a red port in the ZTE called WLAN but i never used that).
The reason i use the Asus router is because it allows me to control the bandwidth for those connected to it, so am using it as a "guest wifi access point"
Could this be the issue ?
i am not sure what i should be looking for but is this normal :



The 1st client is the Asus router, 2nd is this computer, is it okay that the router doesn't have an IpV6 address ?
Internet got cut while the Asus router is completely unplugged, and after troubleshooting am getting this :






Knowing that the Issue (default gateway is not available) is still happening even when the Asus router is completely disconnected and shutdown.

could this help ? running ipconfig/all when the net is broken give a different result for the Tunnel adapter Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-interface, it has less more values than the "normal one"
