    WIFI autoconfiguration

    We have set up a corporate wifi managed by GPO witch 802.11x for corporate PC to connect automatically, as per the picture

    WIFI autoconfiguration 47c925ae-84d2-42ff-8662-220046107e05?upload=true.jpg

    However the Windows 10 PC doesn't connect automatically.

    The Wifi shows up and if selected by the user it connects without problem, apart from requesting confirmation.

    We want the pc to connect automatically to the corporate wifi, if present, even before the user logging in

    How should we configure it ?

    thanks

    :)

  2. Autoconfiguration ipv4 address

    I static an windows 10 pro pc IP address at my job and when I check command prompt, I still get Autoconfiguration ipv4 address 169.254.254.154 (preferred) showing instead of the IP address I assigned manually. is there a way to stop the Autoconfiguration
    ipv4 address?

    Windows 10 wifi not turning on Acer Aspire laptop

    In order to get the list of available wireless networks, you have to:

    1. Switch on Connect to suggested open hotspots (see the screenshot in question);
    2. Click on Wifi icon in the right corner. Now you have your networks back.

    After that the parameter from Step 1 can be turned off, networks will be listed normally after restarting Wifi.

    P.S. I feel rather stupid at the moment. I thought that open hotspots are passwordless hotspots and so are presumably not very safe. So of course I've turned that off during installation.
    Really hard to see any logic in this case.
