Windows 10: WiFi file transfer to PC opens file explorer - How to have it not? Win11

I am transferring photos via WiFi from my phone using the PhotoSync app to my Windows 11 laptop. The photos transfer fine, but each time the transfer is completed of say 6 photos, the file explorer opens and shows the location of the photos. This is causing issues for me because it interrupts my auto GUI that moves the photos around. Point is, I need the photos to transfer without file explore being opened each time the photos are done transferring.For devices connected physically and for bluetooth devices there is "autoplay" which can be disabled, but there is no option like this for data

opening .dds files with gimp

Simply, HOW? I got the DDS plugin but the POS wont open DDS files still. Can someone give me a step-by-step rundown of how to install the DDS plugin for gimp so I know if I'm missing something?

 

Remote File transfer ?

A simple solution is RAVE from www.randmsoft.com. I use it to transfer files and put files onto my home PC when I'm in a remote location. I also launch batch files (totally into media centre!). The program has various functionality and is quick to respond. It works on Windows OS.

OMG. I have never met anyone who actually bought one of those file transfer things.



Firewire will do the same as USB, but faster, so will a cheap crossover cable. I can wlak you through the steps of moving data so you will not miss a beat.




Anything more than $10 to buy a cable is too much.
