Windows 10: WiFi Frequently Disconnects; Unable to Find Networks Thereafter

Hi all.


Recently have encountered problems with my Windows 10 computer’s WiFi.



Seemingly at random, my computer will lose WiFi connection and then be unable to discover any WiFi network.

All previously discoverable WiFis will then become undiscoverable, despite them still working on my phone, and the WiFi I am connected to will not have any connection. If I were to disconnect and attempt to reconnect to said network, it will say something akin to “trouble connecting to this network,” and then that WiFi will disappear as well, leaving me with no discoverable networks.


This is an immensely annoying problem, as it happens very frequently, and my only known fix as of now is to restart my computer until the WiFi kicks back up again. It interrupts my work, and is a general inconvenience. I have tried many solutions, such as restarting the WLAN AutoConfig Service, disabling and re-enabling my Network Adapter in Network & Internet Settings > Change Adapter Options, or running through Services.MSC to check if all of the following Services are running:

• Application Layer Gateway Service
• Network Connections
• Network Location Awareness NLA
• Plug and Play
• Remote Access Auto Connection Manager
• Remote Access Connection Manager
• Remote Procedure Call RPC
• Telephony
• Windows Firewall

As I have read somewhere said services are necessary to discover networks. Occassionally they will be off, yet even when I start them, the problem will not fix.

I realize that the WiFi is disconnecting frequently. I will try to help you with this issue.

You will be able to solve some problems by running a troubleshooter that will automatically fix some common issues.

Open the Network troubleshooter by following these steps:

• 
  Press Windows key + X and click on
  Control Panel.
  
• 
  Click on Troubleshooting and click on
  View All.
  

Click on “Network Adapter” troubleshooter to fix problems with
Network Adapter. Follow the on-screen directions to run this troubleshooter and restart the computer to check if this helps.

Further, suggest you to follow all the steps from this article to check if that helps.

my son laptiop wifi disconnect after 5 minutes

• If you have an identical laptop try comparing the wifi and security settings of the one that does not disconnect with the one that does. If you find any differences change the settings of the one that does not work to the one that does.

• If you do not have an identical laptop see this post and the three replies for possible solutions: Wifi disconnects every 5 minutes.

finding the reason for being disconnected from wifi network

Partially worked I reset the wifi adaptors and get new lease but old IP is set again after doing all these steps. Then I login to network etc. But the frequent disconnect problem I want to go to root of it as to why it is happening.
