  1. Wifi/network adapter issues

So i have this really weird issue. Recently my wifi will auto disconnect itself randomly whether I'm using the internet or not. Sometimes it will stay connected for two hours sometimes less than ten second When i attempt to reconnect it will reset the network adapter and then fail to connect afterwards. I tried uninstalling and re-installing the network adapter and also restarting the computer but nothing works. I tried turning that button in the adapter setting that allows the computer to turn it off to save power - doesn't work. I've also tried things like flushing the dns cache (to no avail). Sometimes it takes 10 minutes of continuously resetting the network adapter to work, sometimes it does it on the first try. I have scanned the computer with malwarebytes (all drives) and found no visible malware. Every time i try to fresh start by resetting the PC it will get to about 30% then cancel and say "windows ran into a problem while resetting" or some shi* like that - I am also unable to re-install the OS. Very frustrated. One other thing, it's not the modem as my roommate has no issues with the wifi and my iphone will stay connected no problem. I am at a total loss here...is it malware? Running on an Acer Aspire E5-774g

    :)

    Issues with network adapters

    Hi Alfonso,

To resolve this issue, we suggest that you run the Network troubleshooter when you switch from WiFi to Ethernet connection. The Network troubleshooter can help diagnose and fix common connection problems including clearing the network cache to obtain a new
IP from the new network. Kindly follow the steps below:

    • In the search box on the taskbar, type Identify and repair network problems, and then select
Identify and repair network problems from the list of results.
    • Follow the steps in the troubleshooter and see if that fixes the problem.

If the issue persists, kindly try the troubleshooting steps on the following link:

    .

We recommend that you try the steps on the Update the network adapter driver,
Run the Network troubleshooter followed by networking commands, and Use network reset to reinstall network devices sections.

    Windows 10 Wifi Adapter Issues/Problems

Thanks. Those are very basic steps I already tried (as mentioned in my first post).

I have also tried all six steps listed on the advanced tips here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/fix-network-connection-issues

My connection is spotty at best. It takes 30 minutes of resetting the network adapter to even get a wifi connection and it eventually drops it after 45 minutes.
