Windows 10: WiFi not showing up on Windows

I recently built a pc. My motherboard has built it Wi-Fi and was working until now. Out of nowhere my PC has no wifi icon in the taskbar. I can get the wifi tab to open through control panel but it only shows Airplane mode and Network & Internet settings, no networks or Wi-Fi symbol. When I click on Network & Internet settings, the settings pops up and closes itself within a second. I’ve tried enabling and disabling Wi-Fi in control panel. I have tried letting Windows update the driver and have tried updating the latest drivers from my motherboard website. The latest driver says it only supports Windows 1909 while I am on 2004 but I was using the latest one since I first built the PC without problems until now. I was able to connect to my Wi-Fi manually through writing the details in Control Panel but it doesn’t work on mobile hotspot and is a hassle. Does anybody have a fix for this problem.

hard drive, router, or connectivity. To isolate this matter, we have some questions for you:

  Have you tried running the
  Network Troubleshooter?

  Were there any changes made before the issue occur?
  
• 
  Have you tried connecting other devices to your WiFi connection?
  
• 
  Were there any error messages?
  
• 
  Aside from what you've mentioned, what other troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

Windows 7 virtual wifi authentication mode

Hello.

Just a quick question to whoever is using windows 7 virtual wifi capability - when you type in "netsh wlan show hostednetwork", cmd window displays a list of settings for your hosted virtual wifi.

I was wondering, is there a way to change authentication method from WPA2-Personal to simple WEP ?

Is it possible to set up a new manual wifi connection from the command line?

I'm trying to work out a solution to set up ad-hock wifi connections in Windows 8.1 based on the suggestions in a post on Micsrosoft's answers site. Is there any way to do the first few steps:

• go to "Network and Sharing Center"
  
• click "Set up a new connection or network"
  
• double click "Manually connect to a wireless network"
  
• enter the SSID of the ad-hoc network (as shown by "netsh wlan show networks") into the "Network name" field
  
• configure security settings accordingly
  
• uncheck "Start this connection automatically" (important)
  

...without using the windows dialogs?
