Windows 10: Wifi randomly disconnecting..

..on both my laptop, and Desktop. I am not educated on this at all, and did see some older posts. Problem was, I didn't find any "fix" that seemed more like my issue. If anyone wants to give me a link, I would be glad to look. I have a router, and a modem for my internet, but use wifi because of the distance they are from my computer/desk. I've had the setup for about 6 years, with Spectrum, and never had the issue before, except for power outages (occasional). Now I am having it happen several times a day. I noticed it when I opened my Desktop this a.m. So I unplugged the Router and modem. Yesterday I made sure my network drivers were all up to date, or what I mean is, when I right clicked them it said I already had the latest, something like that. If someone can point me in the right direction, I would so appreciate it I'm online now as you can see, and my phone uses wifi here at home and seems to be no issue, but, I haven't been checking it Rather stupid of me I realize now after reading some other posts. As always, thanks in advance for any help

Windows randomly disconnects WiFi

Hello,

After installing 1903 update, my wifi randomly disconnects. I've to disconnect and reconnect wifi to make it work again.

Can anyone suggest some tips to solve this issue?

• If you have an identical laptop try comparing the wifi and security settings of the one that does not disconnect with the one that does. If you find any differences change the settings of the one that does not work to the one that does.

Wifi continuously disconnects


This just started happening only a few days ago, I'm not sure what might have caused it, but my laptop will suddenly disconnect from my wifi network. sometimes it won't disconnect, but just stop receiving/sending packets. I can tell this because suddenly my pages are stuck loading and skype is trying to reconnect, but nothing happens until I manually disconnect.

I have tried

• Troubleshooting
  
  But I usually get "Your proxy setting could not be recognized" or something, even though I don't have any proxy settings.
• Uninstalling and then reinstalling the latest driver for my wifi card
• disabling power saving for the wifi card as talked about here
• Everything mentioned on the Microsoft page here

This has been driving me crazy, ethernet works fine. I can connect my phone to wifi and tether it to my laptop, so this shouldn't be a problem with the router.
