  1. WiFi will not stay connected to one network in particular

I am currently staying at a hotel for an extended period of time for work. Their WiFi isn’t the best, but until recently, it’s been consistent

For the past 3 or 4 days, my pc connects intermittently to the WiFi network. It will connect, disconnect repeatedly. I have scoured the Internet and tried many solutions to no avail.

My issue seems unique because this doesn’t happen when I connect through my phones hotspot. It never disconnects.

What could have caused this over the past couple of days. Is it a security issue with this public network? I have contacted the hotel IT tech and they tried to reset my registration on their end but that didn’t help.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Edit: My other devices connect with no issue. I play PS4 games online while connected at the same time when I’m attempting to connect my PC and have never experienced a disconnect

  2. Can't connect to a particular wifi network

    laptop running Win 10 18362.

    Wifi Adaptor: Ralink RT3290 802.11bgn

I have a newly installed internet connection with a new router. I can connect to the wifi using all my other devices but not the laptop, but I can connect to all other networks using this laptop.

The wifi just doesn't show up in the available networks GUI or on running the "netsh wlan show networks" command, but it shows up fine and connects to all other devices.

It connects when I use a lan cable.

It is not a range issue as the laptop can detect and connect to much weaker networks. For some reason won't detect this particular network. What to do?

Wifi only connects to Gmail but nothing else, and only one on particular network

I can connect to Gmail online but nothing else, but this is only on one particular wifi network, which happens to be in a place where I do some consulting work. Any suggestions as to what might fix this?

WiFi will not stay connected to one network in particular

    I can't connect to a particular network

This has been driving me mad for days, I cannot connect to one particular network in Win10 as it always shows "no internet access" and diagnose tells me that "one or more network protocols is missing" and other times it tells me there was a problem with the access point and it was fixed and restarted, but in reality nothing is fixed, it's still showing no internet access. My trick is to connect to the wifi on my tab and connect it to my Win10 laptop through usb tethering, but this is really cumbersome.

Wifi works flawlessly on ubuntu (dual boot).

UPDATE 1: I also can't connect to the default gateway, when I try to access the router page firefox said the connection has timed out, ditto for chrome, pinging the default gateway also returns "request timed out".

UPDATE 2: I've updated the wireless driver from atheros and restarted but it's still not working

UPDATE 3: flushed dns and resetted winsock, restarted, error still won't budge, does anyone know what steps can I take to troubleshoot if I can't ping even the default gateway?

UPDATE 4: For whatever reason I still can't connect to the wifi broadcasted by the router itself but got a repeater and everything works fine so that saves me from headaches for now.
