Windows 10: Will I need to find my activation Key when doing windows10 rollback to version 1909?

Need my audio software to run optimally and since I've gone to 2004 everything is just mad glitchy...

It's been over 10days and so I thought I'd might as well go back to 1909 the thing is I'm not sure where to find my key BUT Google searches say I don't need it??? I'm just here to confirm that or not since I'm gonna completely wipe my device and don't wanna be stuck without a key

Is your Windows 7 activated? If it is properly activated a Windows 10 upgrade should not ask for a product key.

Have you tried the "Upgrade this PC now" option of the Windows 10 Media Creation Tool?

After you get a successful upgrade, and the Windows 10 is activated, then you can do a clean install by booting from a Windows 10 USB or DVD which you can also make with the Media Creation Tool. A clean install will ask for a product key and you click on the tiny text that says Skip the step. Might have to skip the Product Key two or three times. IF the upgraded Windows 10 on the same computer was activated, the clean install of Windows 10 will activate. And remember - you have to stay with either the Home or the Pro version - you can't go from Home to Pro or from Pro to Home.

 

How to rollback to version 1709

Currently on version 1803 and having stuttering issues on a game (Rocket League if it helps). I've went through numerous attempts at troubleshooting what's wrong with the game and the general consensus is that it is this version of Windows.

I have an active license with this version of windows so my questions are: how do I rollback to version 1709 and do I maintain my license? (I don't have a serial key).
