    I have done this before on a couple of dimension 3100's. E310 and 3100 are the same.

    It will only take the 32 bit version.

    The Win7 installer is amazing at providing its own drivers. The most likely problem will be the video driver. Dell does offer Vista 32 bit drivers and that is a strong indication that it will work. You need at least 1 gigabyte of memory and 2 will work
    much better. Since 32 bit can only "see" 3.25G, don't bother going over that.
