  1. Will power loss destroy the computer when upgrading?

    Hi,

My laptop is running Windows 10 enterprise 1803 which I want to upgrade to 1909. But there is an issue. My laptop's battery is completely dead I get a backup of <1 second and I use it while connected to the charger. The company of the laptop couldn't provide the battery lately, as they say.

So, I want to clear the doubt that what will happen if, while upgrading, if there is a power cut and the laptop loses power?

Kindly help me out with the issue and I shall forever be grateful to you.

    Thanks,

    Regards,

    Jyotirmay Kumar Jha.

    :)

  2. Can't power off or sleep the computer since upgrade to Windows 10

I had window 7 and upgraded to win 10. However, the computer doesn't turn off, when you select the turn off your computer in the windows menu. Instruction people to hard turn off the computer pressing the on/off button is not an option. Where can I get the
patch to solve this problem? Thank you.

  3. W10 x64 Sudden Computer Power Off

    Hi there,

Do you know if you can try another sata port on the motherboard?

If this is a complete power loss issue then it sounds hardware related and I would approach the troubleshooting in steps, test sata port, cable, hard drive, PSU, motherboard

If this is windows rebooting I would suggest a full reinstall of Windows first to see if this resolves following by a replacement hard drive as that could have been damaged by the power loss
