Windows 10: Will resetting Windows 10 save all my photos, files, and such?

hi. My pc is super slow and it cant even open any programs so I thought about resetting it.


The problem is that I have several thousand of important photos and college work that cant be erased. I have some of my dash board and others are on my Window Driver C since it has a lot of Gb.


If I reset it will I lose the songs, photos and files I have on my dashboard, download folder and the Window Driver C? I know my progams will be uninstalled but that doesnt matter to me.

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Saves log files ?

You can either read the files in Windows or my preferred method is.....

You can then run cleaner, you will see the log files listed, then if you right click you can save as a text file and then have a read. You may also get an "error reporting" log listed seperatly.

I suggest you to follow the below steps to give permission for entire system, so that you can save the files in photos and documents.

• Right click on the folder and click on properties.
• Click on security tab and select the group\user name.
• Click on edit option and check the option full control.
• Click on apply and then on ok button.

Now you can try saving the file in photos and documents and check if the issue persists.
