    Win 10 1903 upgrade fails because of docking station


    I have tried with different models: a Dell Latitude 7390 and a Precision 5510, both laptops running Windows 10 (version 1809) when I start the Windows upgrade to 1903 the laptops restart and roll back the upgrade.



    I ran a setupdiag (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/deployment/upgrade/setupdiag) and it analyzed a memory dump where I could see some messages about the Thunderbolt drivers.

    So I tried to upgrade the 7390 without the dock and it finished successfully, then I was able to repeat the behavior with the Precision.

    Both laptops have the latest BIOS/Hardware (I made sure to run Dell Command Update before the upgrade), I also upgraded the dock firmware and even reinstalled the Thunderbolt drivers but still no joy.



    Any ideas?


    PS: please don't tell me to reach out to Dell because I already did and they told me to reach out to MS Win 10 1903 upgrade fails because of docking station :)

    I cannot connect to home Wi-Fi off the docking station but not on docking station.

    1. I cannot connect to home Wi-Fi off the docking station but not on docking station.
    2. When i'm on docking station system says i'm connected to home Wi-Fi, but when i browse says not connected.
    3. Other devices connected to home Wi-Fi has no issue.
    4. What steps can i take to resolve the issue other than updating Wi-Fi adapter driver?

    Windows Powershell- Detect Docking Stations and attached monitors


    I am trying to write a script to detect all docking stations and monitors attached to those docking station for Lenovo Thinkpad t540p laptops on a domain network. Most of the monitors are Asus. Any suggestions or is this even possible? Running powershell from DEV WIN 10

    display problem with docking station

    The display on docking station is not working since i upgraded to windows 10.

    I have a kensington USB dock with that i am using with my ThinkPad.

    I was using win 7 Pro, and the docking station was working perfectly fine.

    After i upgraded to Win 10, the display on the dock has stopped working. All other devices/functions (keyboard, mouse, LAN, other usb devices) attached to the dock are working. Win 10 is not detecting the 2nd screen/display device.

    Anyone else facing similar problem? Have you found any solution to this?

    As a temporary arrangement, i have connected the 2nd monitor to the laptop video out.

    Have also written to kensington, about the issue.
