Win 10 "Empty Recycle Bin" does not appear to complete.

When emptying the recycle bin there are always about 10 - 15 items left showing in the folder. They are not actually still there because they usually disappear after I refresh the folder. With the recycle bin I could just assume they are gone and if necessary I will get rid of them the next time but this also usually happens when I try to move or delete a large number of files and it is a PITA having to make sure the total move or deletion has completed successfully. What happened to the auto refresh on completion of an operation to show the actual final state of the relative folders ? It is beginning to seem that Win 10's improvements and advantages are coming with too much aggravation . Maybe it's just old age :{)

    :)

Can anyone please help? I spent over six hours trying to find and restore my recycle bin for windows 10 but without success. I tried all the recommendations and advice given but without success. I has just totally disappeared and nothing so far has brought

Win 10 "Empty Recycle Bin" does not appear to complete.

    Hello DUFFER, *Smile

I've had that happen a few times for me as well in build 10576, and it is indeed just an issue of it not fully refreshing (F5) for some reason.

If it continues to happen to often, then you might see if using the tutorial below to delete the $Recycle.bin file of the affected drive's Recycle Bin may help.

If it were just the recycle bin that might be the solution, but as I said it also happens in other folders as well.
    Thanks anyway.

No change, same old PITA. I'll just have to live with it or go back to 7 and safe surf on android (who needs Win 7 updates, it works just fine as it was on my last image).
    Thanks again for your time.

Win 10 "Empty Recycle Bin" does not appear to complete.

Hopefully, it'll get sorted soon. At least you can just press F5 to refresh it for now.
