Windows 10: win 10 feature update 2004 have erased all my passwords for Azure/VS2019/SQL...

Have anyone faced this problem, -- YET ---, and is there a solution to recover these lost settings.

I have installed today Aug-13-2020 the Win 10 Feature Update 2004 on a Win 10 Home edition. The install went fine without any issues reported. About 3 reboots took place after the install.

With first login after the installation, I found that it has erased all my passwords forAzure/VS2019/SQL Studio/SourceTree/Teams publishing profiles and identities ..

Moreover, and this is REALLY IMPORTANT, I have tried to re-enter Passwords, Recreated Delete/New of Azure publishing profiles, then it occurred to me to try to Reboot, and see if what I have done so far is Preserved. To my surprise , they were erased again. So, I shutdown, restarted, and then tried again, shutdown, and started, and tested and now things started getting preserved.

So, I have now to recreate about 50 applications publishing profiles, and recreate all my identities and re-enter all my passwords, for what ? Really for what ? What is the unbelievable, unimaginable things that Microsoft has done in update 2004 that warrants me to lose a day of my work to fix their problems !!!

Someone really give me any consolation for this ridiculous situation.

If they are not sure about what they are releasing, why in heaven have they released it ?

Feature Update Win 10 Pro 2004

The Feature Update Win 10 2004 appears to have installed successfully on my computer.

It is listed in Settings, System, About.

However, the Update has wiped out all of my previous Windows Update, View Update History which is now blank.

Moreover, the Feature Update Win 10 2004 itself is not listed in Settings, Update and Security, Windows Update, View Update History.

Is this important?

And if so, how can it be repaired?

The Feature Update Win 10 2004 appears to have installed successfully on my computer.

Moreover, the Feature Update Win 10 2004 itself is not listed in Settings, Update and Security, Windows Update, View Update History.

AFAIK, update history is cleared after installing feature update. This is expected behaviour, nothing to worry about!

Always Encrypted now generally available in Azure SQL Database

Today we are announcing the general availability of Always Encrypted in Azure SQL Database.

Always Encrypted is simple to use, transparent, and ready to protect your data. Client drivers have been enhanced to work in conjunction with the database engine to decrypt and encrypt data at the point of use, requiring only minimal modifications to your applications. Encryption keys are managed outside of the database for maximum safety and separation of duties. Only authorized users with access to the encryption keys can see unencrypted data while using your applications.

Always Encrypted in Azure SQL Database

By ensuring the encrypted data and its corresponding keys are never revealed in plaintext to the database system, Always Encrypted allows you to confidently store your sensitive information in Azure SQL Database. You can also use Always Encrypted to restrict high privilege users in your own organization, for example DBAs managing your Azure-hosted databases, from accessing sensitive data, to further prevent information disclosure.

Always Encrypted is currently supported in .NET Framework Data Provider for SQL Server and will be supported in JDBC and ODBC soon.

Next steps:

Configure Always Encrypted in your database using SQL Server Management Studio, using PowerShell, or by creating a database project in SQL Server Data Tools.

Develop an application using Always Encrypted.
