Windows 10: Win 10 install and Intel 4000 graphics warning

[This is a follow up to the thread I started over the weekend under Licensing and Activation, "How to activate previously activated Win 10 on Win 7 laptop after crash leads to clean reinstall of Windows,” but on a different problem further along in the process.]


In the process of doing the clean install of Win 10 before changing SSD’s suggested there, early in the process there was a warning about Win 10 being incompatible with Intel 4000 graphics and thus possibly causing problems if I continue. While I didn’t receive this or have any graphics problems during the initial install a couple of years ago, I decided to stop this time to find out more. Searching around a bit, I find it was/is a common problem and some people developed a registry hack, while others just rolled back to earlier Intel graphics drivers. Is there anything more, such as a common fix? My laptop is a Asus Zenbook UX21A, Win 7x64 and the last BIOS update available for it was late 2012. Thanks,

Intel Graphics HD 4000 update

I recently upgraded to win 10 and on checking for new updates I found out that there is a new update available for my Intel Graphics HD 4000 drive. After installation started it came into failure. I had searched out Intel website and came to know that the
new updates are provided through Microsoft itself.

Then I searched through web and came to know that if the updates was failed then according to windows I have the best suited version installed. That is Ok...

The problem is previously I owned win 8.1 and whenever I tried to install updates downloaded from Intel for my Intel Graphics HD 4000 drive , it always popped up with notification that the installation can't be proceed as my computer manufacturer had modified the
update so have to download from their website.

I downloaded from provider site and it worked well.

But now on win10 it had failed to install and no updates are available from the manufacturer site as it also suggests that Microsoft will provide.

So my question is , is it Ok not to have updated driver? And if no then I need suggestions.

Install:

Intel HD Graphics 4000 Driver, Driver Date: 8/17/2015

Driver Version: 10.18.10.4276

Make sure you backup your registry first before proceeding!!!!

open regedit Run Command

Registry has wrong value:

Currently reads as :

My computer is ready for windows 10 update, its reserved. But it gave me a message saying my intel hd graphics 4000 driver is not compatible. There is no windows 10 drivers on Intels site. Will microsoft give an updated driver for intel hd graphics 4000
?
