Windows 10: win 10 license transfer to new mainboard

hello, ive had a reatil version of win7 32/64 bit that i bought for 100€ back in the day..

i upgraded it for free to win 10 back when you had the chance to do so..


now, a couple years later my pc is getting old and id like to replace the mainboard, cpu and ram..

however id like to transfer this liscense to the new build.. but i cant find any information on how to do so.


i dont use a online miscrosoft account with my win 10 install.


is it possible?

Transfer Win 10 license to a new PC

Hello,

I bought a new PC and read that I can transfer my Windows 10 license to it and I have a few questions.

Few years ago I used Win 7 Pro license to install my two PC's.

When FREE update came I upgraded both of them to Windows 10 x64 PRO.

Yesterday I assembled a new PC which will replace one of them and I want to transfer the license to it from the one it is replacing.

The question is if I transfer the activation license will I lose the activation on the second PC or not?

i bought the license. My laptop was originally loaded with win 7 and was upgraded free couple of months.

in this case, if i understand you correctly, i can transfer with below steps. Right.?

let me buy my new laptop and try below.

and to my question do you have an update.

does OS upgrades if my activation key is changed.
