Windows 10: Win 10 Nightmare after ver 2004 update

Discus and support Win 10 Nightmare after ver 2004 update in Windows 10 Installation and Upgrade to solve the problem; I have a Dell Inspiron 24-5459 All In One desktop.     Win 10 Nightmare after ver 2004 update


    I have a Dell Inspiron 24-5459 All In One desktop. It was Win 7 upgraded long ago to Win 10. Seemed to be working just fine until the ver 2004 update installed in July 2020. The machine locked up so I did a hard shut down. At that point when I tried to restart, it would not get past the Dell logo with the gumballs going around in a circle. After 2 hard shut downs it SAYS it is going into recovery but does absolutely nothing. I've been researching , reading and troubleshooting since then. I feel I have exhausted all avenues at this time. I tried to boot from a USB - wouldn't get past the "loading files" message. Tried to boot from a CD - same result. I have changed from UEFI to Legacy with and without secure boot. Legacy-not secure gives me more boot options but I still can't seem to get past the initial windows splash screen. After a short amount of time, the screen goes blank and nothing loads.


    Any help/guidance/commiserating would be greatly appreciated!
