  1. Win 10 (Oct 2018) update forcing a driver installation.

Hi. I'm using a Lenovo ThinkPad T400. It has an AMD display driver and Win 10 is forcing an installation of an update to the driver which blacks out the Win 10 (Oct 2018) update forcing a driver installation. 83b254af-c9f1-478c-a72a-ea8e39720620?upload=true.jpg display after installing. Yes, I can recover it through Safe Mode, but after booting, it again installs the same update. I've tried disabling updates to drives through Classic Control Panel.

I understand, there's an issue, but don't you think the users should have a right to choose which updates to download among the available ones just as in Classic Windows Update? I'm sure Windows in intellegeni enough, but anyway, sometimes users are better at making decisions. (Or maybe most of the time?)

Things like these make us fall back to Windows 7 or Linux. Microsoft really needs to stop "forcing" their stuff onto users please.

    :)

  4. Win 10 (Oct 2018) update forcing a driver installation.

    Windows 7 wont install drivers

i dont think anyone here understands what your asking either when its nearly a 90% english dominated Tech forum.
    Step 1
    reinstall windows from scratch
    Step 2
install all drivers from the cd that came with the god damn motherboard *common sense*
    Step 3
    update windows
    Step 4
install misc etc crap like flash java etc etc
    Step 5
    Install GPU drivers
    Step 6
go back to using your pc without issue.
