Windows 10: Win 10 on Toshiba Satellite inaccessible

I ran a FixMeStick and quarantined several items, then when I restarted the computer, I got an error of press any key after inserting boot media (paraphrasing). I couldn't get into safe mode or get back to the last known good configuration. It's like the operating system doesn't exist anymore.


I created a Win 10 boot-able DVD and have been cycling through its various options. Trying to reinstall Win 10, the computer came back with unable to create a partition. It got stuck on copying files 0% before giving that particular error message. This DVD must have the same OS as the computer because it wouldn't allow me the upgrade option either.


Clicked on the "repair this computer" message. Was not able to repair what is wrong with the startup on the computer. When I tried to repair using System Restore, the error message said something about click the operating system then restore. I never got a chance to click on an OS.


I'm going round and round and i can't seem to get anywhere.

How to get into safe mode on Toshiba satellite


Does anyone know how to get into safe mode on a toshiba satellite. Black/blue screen with solid cursor after creator update fail. F8 is disabled by default in windows 10, so please do not suggest anything that requires win 10 to be working.

Windows 10 does not load on startup, no Toshiba logo, just a looping black screen/blue screen with cursor. And the bios is on slow boot.

I tried to put it on but the (FN) key , which was put it on and off in win 7 , doesn't work
