I'm assuming this is for resetting the password of your father's Microsoft account.

When you get to the step to "Verify your identity" while resetting the password like in option 3 or 4 in the tutorial below, you will see which options (ex: text or email) you have to verify with. If you don't have any, then you can select the I don't have any of these option, but it will take longer to reset the password using this option.
