Windows 10: Win 10 Pro issue

When I attempt to shutdown the PC by choosing 'shutdown' from the start menu it will appear to shutdown but then start again. I've tried many of the so called fixes and none correct the issue. Got frustrated and wiped my drives clean (all 4 of them) and guess what?


The issue still persists even after a complete clean install of the OS.


This wasn't an issue ever until I attempted to shutdown yesterday to install a new SSD. I installed a new PCI-e USB 3.0 card roughly a week ago and the desktop shutdown perfectly just before installing the card in an x1 slot. The PCI-e USB card I purchased is the following:

Motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3 rev 1.0 with the latest BIOS F-10

I suggest that you use the TechNet forums for this particular issue. This forum is consumer-oriented (Win 10 Home, Pro). TechNet is IT oriented (Win 10, Pro, Enterprise, MSDN, Server 2012-R2, etc.).

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
