    win 10 sound

I just upgraded from Win 7 home to win 10 home. I have a creative soundblaster omni surround external sound card installed. When I turn on computer everything works fine and then after a while the sound disappears. I run the troubleshooter and it says they were going to play some "test sounds" and each time they asked if I heard anything and I didn't. It then says I must restart my computer for the fix to take effect. It works again after restarting only to happen again. It's frustrating to keep restarting. The soundblaster wasn't originally supporting in windows 10, it was no problem in windows 7. Creative offered some drivers for windows 10 which I installed by the problem exists. I have another soundcard by c-media installed in the slot which also worked great in win 7. This is not even recognized. Any ideas?

    thanks

    :)

    Good surround sound headset

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue win 10 sound :p

    Sound Quality

One thing that sticks out from looking at your "My Computer" specs. You list "ONBOARD 6 CHANNEL (5.1) HIGH DEF AUDIO (AS STANDARD)" which suggests you do not have the correct sound hardware driver. Your motherboard has Realtek sound and the first step is to install the Realtek sound drivers. My ASUS also came with Sonic Studio 2 which is a sound enhancement package. Check the ASUS install disc to see if you have something similar.

May not be a speaker problem.
