My pc os = Windows 10 ver 10.0.16299.248 64 bit x64



My pc will not update. The hdd is 8 mos old. I have run full scans with, then I removed Ccleaner, Hitman Pro, and Webroot. (using add/remove programs), and am only using Windows Defender as Antivitus.



Removing those third party antivirus programs did not help at all.

Running the update troubleshooter and applying the “fix” does not help.



My pc is in a continuous loop of restart and attempted updates.

Recent update history:



2018-08 Cumulative Update KB434897 Requires Restart, then fails and reverts, undoing changes. Last fail was 8.25.18

KB4023057 UPDATED Successfully 8.16.18

KB4338825 (46) FAILED 8.14.18 (0x80070020)

KB41003727 (105) FAILED 7.24.18 (0x800F0922)

Windows update failing

The updates that are failing are

KB2862152 and KB2545698 for the important updates and KB2830477 for the optional update.

If I try to do them all at once they are 10.5 MB and they will get to 77% downloaded then fail.

 

Windows update failing

I just finished building a pc and installed win7 pro 64bit. Most of my updates downloaded and installed but I have 2 important and 1 optional that will download partially then fail.

I am getting error 80072EE2. I have tried everything I could find on google and the Microsoft help links that windows update provides with the error code but haven't been able to fix the issue. Anybody here have any ideas?
