Win 8.1 Start option still active: "Show start on Sign-in"

Whenever I log-in from hibernate or boot, the start interface shows. I had this enabled in Windows 8.1 (start screen), but now I'm on 10 (no start screen) and it still shows.

There is no option to disable it. Is there a registry key to disable this?

P.S. My start screen is normal, not full screen.

    :)

    Enter on keypad " no. + # "

petrib is correct. It is a shortcut to SIM numbers.

Numbers on your SIM might not be in the position you think. Just because they appear sorted in alphabetical order in the contacts list doesn't mean that they appear in that same order on the SIM. On the SIM they appear in the order in which you input them,
unless you delete a number in which case the next one entered takes its place.

It actually still shows after changing the option. I think it is because the start is not closed when you press "Power > Sleep". I'll send feedback through the app about this.

For now, I send a report to the feedback app.

I found that it only stays open after a power option is chosen (Sleep or Hibernate) because you have to open the start menu. When I use Win + L, the start does not appear. I wrote about this in the feedback app and hope they fix it. Thank you for your help. This issue will be marked solved as it will be fixed soon.

That is not an issue, that's how Windows 10 works. If you exit your user account using options in Start Menu without signing out (lock the PC, switch user, sleep), the Start Menu is open; Windows exits your account before the menu has been closed.

When you return to your user account (unlock the PC, switch user back to your account, wake up the PC), your desktop is shown as you left it, Start Menu opened.

Is there a way to close the menu before it logs me off? (I only have one account)

No, as far as I know. The thing is the exit is so fast, immediate, that the Start Menu has no time to close. System processes your exit command (lock, sleep) immediately when you have selected it and suspends your user account, therefore the Start Menu remains open.

Please forgive me saying this but I cannot see how this could be an issue? Wake up the PC and continue working, the Start Menu closes when there's activity.
