    Win update and sound driver problem


    Hi I just tried to install update KB4592438 which lead to no sound or at best itermittent sound
    My PC slowed to a halt and trying to open any program took ages I was lucky to be able to download the sound drivers from Asus but everytime I tried to install them I got the BSOD
    I tried to uninstall update but couldn't get into setting at all without BSOD after trying everything I had to force Windows into a forced repair where I was able to roll back to a save setting which fixed the problem
    My question is will I have these problem everytime I try to install an update or just wait untill a new update comes alone?
    My system is
    AMD 5900x CPU
    Asus Strix X570-E MB

    32gig of GSkill 3600 ram
    any help would be much appreciated

    sound driver problems

    Hi i've got a problem i can't update my sound driver i've got Cmedia 9761A sound card on board i'm running Vindows Vista Ultimate SP1 .Have any suggestion i'm ready to readand listen.Thx a lot *Smile Win update and sound driver problem :)

    Thank you for using Windows 10.

    I understand your concern and would suggest you to check with any other headphones to make sure there is no issues with headphones.

    I would also suggest you to update the Sound drivers and check if that helps. Here is the steps:

    • Press “Windows + X” and select Device manger.
    • Locate the sound driver and expand the driver icon.
    • Right click on the driver icon and click on Update.

    Sound problem

    Hi,

    We need to investigate further so that we can identify the cause of the issue. We suggest running the Troubleshooter and see if it helps. Follow the steps below:

    • Type and select Troubleshooting on the Search bar/Cortana.
    • Click Hardware and Sound.
    • Select Playing Audio under Sound.
    • Follow the steps that will be provided.
    If the steps does not work. We suggest downloading a fresh copy of the audio driver from Realtek and see if it helps.
