Windows 10: Win10, can't login: Error message:"the number of connections to this computer is limited...

Hi,


When trying to log in to a WIN 10 PC which serves as an HMI for a machine I get the message "The number of connections to this computer is limited and all connections are in use right now. Windows 10 Enterprise 2016 LTSB Version 1607.

The issue occurred yesterday after a reboot.

So far I have tried:

1. Undo ethernet cable and reboot
2. in safe mode: cmd --> netsh int ip reset
3. in safe mode: DWORD MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server & MaxConnectionsPerServer added
4. in safe mode: Restrict Remote Desktop Services --> Disabled
5. in safe mode: all network adapters disabled

...that's basically all ideas I found in the www but none has worked.


Are there any there actions I can try?

Wifi Connected but Limited Connection

• Are you able to connect to the internet? If yes, you may disable the error message

I suggest you to follow the methods below and check if this helps:

Method 1:

This error message can be displayed when, in fact, you are already connected to the Internet. If that is the case, you can safely ignore the error message.

To disable the error message, follow these steps.

• Open network connections from control panel.
  
• Double-click Local Area Connection, and then click
  Properties.
• In the General tab, click to clear the
  Notify me when this connection has limited or no connectivity check box.
  
• Click OK, and then click
  Close.

Method 2: Run Network troubleshooter.

• Type “Troubleshooting” without quotes in the search box and hit enter.
• Select “View all” from the left panel.
• Select “Network Adapter” troubleshooter and then follow the on-screen instructions.
