Windows 10: Win10 - Old Office XP Service Pack 3

Win10 Ver 20H2 OS Build 19042.630 on an HP desktop.

All updates working fine EXCEPT I have an old Office XP Service Pack 3 that's been trying to install since forever. 0x80096004. I just need it gone. Help.

I have problems with 0x80096004

 

Office XP Service Pack 3 update for Windows 10??


UPDATE: I know this is old but it does directly relate. Please see my latest post on this in post #7.

My current laptop was purchased new last October, loaded with 8.1. I upgraded to 10 on the first day of its release, and ever since then I've been getting notifications for Office XP Service Pack 3. It has failed each time I try it. Windows suggests doing a web search for "Office XP Service Pack 3 - Error 0x80096004" for possible help, and I do find some results that MIGHT be helpful. But I can't understand why Windows 10 is trying to install an XP update on a machine that has never has XP on it.

Has anyone come across this issue?
