  1. Win10 reverted back to Win7

A few years ago, I redeemed the free Win10 offer and upgraded my computer. Previously, I was using Win7

I believe the previous Win7 installation was kept on a petition on one of my internal hard drives, whilst the new Win10 installation was kept on my SSD.

Just today, whilst playing a game, I had a blue screen and once it went through the steps of checking what was wrong and running a thing called Chrx or something to delete extended attribute set, it reverted me back to Win7- previous files, programs, and all.

Of course, this has made it ridiculously easy to recover my old files from years ago, except when checking my computer in the file explorer, I noticed only my hard drives appeared- no SSD or system reserved like normal.

I turned off my computer, left it a while, opened the case, removed all dust and of course pushed the SSD a bit in case of a loose connection, and now it has appeared once again in the file explorer upon startup and running through chrx and everything.

Does anyone know how to go back to Win10, keeping everything the same as before the blue screen? Many thanks.

    :)

    revert to Win7 from Win10?

I have tried the other methods here, and I'm getting tired0 of Bluescreens, and system crashes that have a stop code 'Unknown Error'. My laptop hardware is NOT compatible with Win10.

A list of methods I have tried.

"Restore to Factory" All this accomplished was my computer removing all my files, and rebooting to Win10 as soon as the 'important updates' were done.

"Buying and installing Win7 from disk." Another failure, as I woke up one morning and had been 'upgraded' to Win10 over night (despite turning OFF auto-updates and going through the ****-maze that was opting out of the upgrade)

"Uninstall Win10, and reinstall using factory code" this got the same result as the first two, first time the laptop updated, I was booting it up to 'Welcome to Windows 10'

I paid 300 for a Microsoft approved technician to reinstall Win7, laptop came back with, you guessed it, Windows 10!

I don't have the money for a new laptop, and my current one works perfectly with Win7. I am NOT payig another 120 bcuks for the Win7 OS just to have it auto upgrade despite my attempts to prevent it. Would like to revert to Win7, but if there is no way to
do this without selling an organ (I live on disability people, my only other income is the work I do with my laptop, you are literally running me out of house and home by having my computer bluescreen every 20 minutes) I will simply call it loss, and have
my friend install Linux, and simply muddle way into programming what I need.

Usually a big fan of the Windows OS, but 10 is horrible, and requires a graphics card that wont fit in my laptop.

    Win10 reverted back to Win7

start button behavior win7 vs. win10

    • in win7, pushing the start button and typing would bring up (immediately) a list of hits among the installed programs.
    • in win10, doing the above retrieves search results from the internet (with some latency), and only then brings up any installed programs (with even more latency).

Is there a way to make Win10 revert to Win7 behavior in this respect?
