    Search bar not responding to typed input after 6/12/18 Windows Update

    I did the 06/12/18 Windows Update (Windows 10 Home 64 bit), and now the search bar doesn't respond to any typed input. I type in the first few letters, and the search/Cortana window just closes on me and the Search bar is blank. Cannot open apps or do any searching via the bar.

    Any suggestions, please?

    Win10: windows update stuck at never ending loop ?

    When in win10:
    • Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....
    Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
    - Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.

    Security Monthly Quality Rollups previous to applied Rollup shown as needed

    Thanks for your reply Andre, but it doesn't clear-up anything in my mind. I know the
    Security Monthly Quality Rollups include security updates. But these are 'roll-ups,' and as such they contain all the updates contained in the previous rollups. So rollups previous to the latest applied rollup should not be shown as needed.—because
    they are not!
    Unless this is due to some twisted Microsoft logic.
