Windows 10: Win10 v1709: Pls. Give Options to Users for your updates!

Pls. DON'T FORCE us to updates at IN-APPROPRIATE Time!


Can you give your users options for your updates!

Major concerns about Win10 updates:
# I am doing important things with my computer, but Win10 updates stop me suddenly

# I don't want to experiment new buggy Windows updates while I am using my computer for my important works.



If updates are minor, I would suggest the following options for its user to choose:

[ ] download and run updates today after I shutdown my computer
[ ] remind me one day later
[ ] remind me 7 days later
[ ] remind me one month later


If updates are, e.g v1709 to 1803, I would suggest the following options for its user to choose:

[ ] download and run updates TODAY after I shutdown my computer
[ ] remind me one month later
[ ] remind me 3 months later

[ ] remind me 6 months later

Win10: windows update stuck at never ending loop ?

When in win10:

• Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....

Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
- Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.

Reading through your instructions for how to manually install updates, you say "So, before you download a cumulative update, make sure you check what you have installed." My current version of Windows10 is 1703 (OS Build 15063.674); is it appropriate to
be installing a v1709 cumulative update? (Will this update include the bits to step Win10 up to v1709?)

 

What is the latest stable build of Win10 ?
