Win10 Ver 1511 - Unable to upgrade using ISO method

Guys I'm stuck with build 10240! I need 1511 so it can support my new GPU (GTX 1080) and even when I try to use the ISO, it will not let me keep my current settings, apps & files. It says I'm trying to install a different edition than I'm currently using. I've been on hold with M$ support for over FOUR hours! I cannot find any solution. The windows update says I'm up to date which is of course incorrect. Install date was 8/8/15. My laptop is on 1511 but my desktop won't update. Please tell me how to fix this! I'm not trying to use any language packs or anything. Using Win10 Pro and I downloaded the "Win10" ISO from the media creation tool. Every version I've tried doesn't work. My only option at this point is a clean install which is unacceptable! Please HELP!

    :)

  3. November update 1511

You'd use the new ISO to do a clean install of Win10, not upgrade your current build to 'Win10 1511, 10586.'

Win10 1511 will be offered to your computer via Windows Update (assuming all is well). If you installed or upgraded to Win10 within 31 days of 12 November, you'll have to wait a while.

Please run winver and post the results here.

Also open a command prompt (admin) and run:
    Slmgr /dlv

Post that result window here. Then we can probably tell you what is wrong.

Win10 Ver 1511 - Unable to upgrade using ISO method

That is strange, hey? Everything else points to a Pro digital licence.

Suggest check the registry keys under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion
EditionID and ProductName - that is what upgrade uses to check validity.
