Windows 10: win10 version 1909 can not find sound card

    win10 version 1909 can not find sound card


    after upgrading to ver 1909 my audio didn't work and win10 said to install a sound card which I did now win10 can not recognize pnp sound card.. disk check said needs more installation in the kernel. I do not understand this so can you tell me what I need to do to make me audio work.

    I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue win10 version 1909 can not find sound card :p

    "sound card cannot be found". Does the Device Manager list it, and with an error? Or is it no listed in the Device Manager?
    If its not listed at all, that suggests the BIOS is not detecting it or there is a BIOS error. Windows will not detect it if the BIOS does not.

    You can try a BIOS reset and see if that helps, if its not being detected by the BIOS.

    Windows 10 1909 Causes Secondary Hard Drive to not be Recognized

    Installing the Windows 10 1909 Update causes my secondary hard drive to not be recognized.

    Steps to confirm issue:

    • Secondary drive not visible in Windows Explorer
    • Secondary drive not visible in device manager
    • Secondary drive not visible in disk manager

    Steps to replicate issue:

    • Installing 1909 update

    Steps to resolve issue:

    • Uninstall 1909 update

    Since updates can only be delayed for so long, an actual fix would be appreciated.
