    Hello there, I have been getting prompts of found malware regularly, like even twenty-thirty times a day. Whenever I look into the log I get this message:


    "The following error occurred: Error code 0x80508023. The program could not find the malware and other potentially unwanted software on this computer."



    It is really beginning to piss me off, I have done several full scans with windows defender to no avail. Please aid me.

    Hi

    I have a new Surface Pro 3 Windows 10

    I get a recurrent windows defender message about the aforementioned malware - it is quarantined, and I delete it, but there is always an " Error code 0x80508023" (can't find the cause but quarantined the result).

    Any suggestions?

    List the EXACT "blah, blah" you mention, here please... for ALL installation cases!

    (Sound like a possible "DLL-Hell" issue, but "Windows File Protection" &/or "System File Protection" should have countered for this... no biggie, there's ways around that too!)
