Windows 10: Window 10 activation

I used to have a Windows 10 free version which i got it from previous 8.1. Recently i made a mistake that i have formatted my system there by i lost genuine version. After consulting a technician he installed a duplicate version of windows 10 which is now showing ur Windows is not activated. Now I'm requesting you plz suggest me how to retain my free windows back. I heard that those who have window account and subscribed to insider can get their windows back? Please give me a good suggestion.

I won't buy a key, stupid.

I'll revert back to windows 7 then.

When I still was on windows 7, about a year ago I added 4GB extra ram which is a total of 8GB now,
is that causing the problem?
