Windows 10: Window 10 upgrade Media creation tool error 0x80004005

Hi All :I have window 10 version 1909 and wanna upgrade to 22H2 by using media creation tool but always failed with error 0x80004005. I have tried many ways and spent a lots of time like upgrade or download ISO image to install option to Retained the Data and App some legacy system can't reinstall again , cleanup download files , start/stop non Microsoft services.....and only with failed result. Please advise , many thanks

Windows media creation tool error 0x80004005 - 0xa001a

Hi, Since the Fall update I have had nothing but problems with a bootable USB drive. Windows media creation tool returns an error 0x80004005 - 0xa001a, which the internet seems oblivious too and the windows 7 USB/DVD download tool creates a drive which is
none bootable.

I spoke to microsoft who advised me to download the windows 10 ISO and use the windows 7 USB/DVD download tool to create the media but it failed to boot.

I searched online for solutions as to why windows 7 USB/DVD download tool would not create a bootable USB drive from a windows 7 ISO and I was given directions to use Diskpart. This also failed.

So does anyone have any solutions to fix the 0x80004005 - 0xa001a error with the media creation tool.

I also tried both windows 7 and windows 10 USB Drive in 2 systems and neither would boot the windows install program.

You can confirm that the usb is not gpt using Diskpart. The command LIST DISK will have a * in the gpt column for any disk or usb that is gpt,

 

Media Creation Tool question

Hi, I have never had any problems using the Media Creation Tool to perform a Windows 10 clean installation until yesterday so I have a couple of questions.
1. The tutorial here says after going to the Microsoft site and selecting the Download Tool (Media Creation Tool) option that the Media Creation Tool should be save to the PC and run from there.
On Microsoft site the instructions are to Download the Tool and select Run (no saving to the PC). Is there a reason for saving it to the PC first as suggested on Tenforums?

2. Yesterday I used the Media Creation Tool to do a clean install. Everything went fine with the download. After the two hour download the Media Creation Tool automatically started to create the media. Everything working normally so far..then suddenly at 50% a screen popped up with an unexpected error message Error code beginning 0x80004005. That was it I had to stop there.
After searching the net it seems that other people have had the same issue after the Fall Creators Update...with the installation stopping at 50%. I have no idea how to sort this out. After contacting Microsoft Chat Support they didn't offer any suggestions that worked either.
